INDUSTRIAL PHILOSOPHY

Founded in 2013, Aqum Game Studio emerged from the industrial heartland of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We're a team of 50 developers, engineers, and designers who see beauty in machinery, efficiency in systems, and art in industrial design.

Our studio operates from a converted steel mill, with satellite teams in Detroit and Munich. We draw inspiration from manufacturing, heavy industry, and mechanical engineering. Our games are built like industrial equipment: functional, durable, and engineered for performance.

We believe in systems that work, mechanics that feel solid, and interfaces that communicate clearly. Our games are not decorative—they're functional. They're tools for experience, machines for play.

THE ENGINEERS

A team of industrial designers, mechanical engineers, and systems thinkers building robust gaming experiences

MAX WEISS

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Former industrial designer. Believes games should feel engineered, not just designed.

SARAH MILLER

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Background in mechanical engineering. Builds robust, efficient game systems.

CARLOS VEGA

ART DIRECTOR

Industrial photographer turned designer. Creates functional, mechanical aesthetics.

LENA SCHMIDT

SOUND DESIGNER

Records industrial sounds and machinery. Creates authentic mechanical audio.
